PEARLs before wine

‘Cuz I wouldn’t want to be too drunk to cheer if one of my friends wins one of these. Just go look at the terrific books that have been nominated for this year’s PEARL awards (2009 publishing year)

Bearing in mind, these are NOT urban fantasy awards, but ParaNormal Romance Literature awards, with some UF sneaking in (because we’re like that). So if you’re a member of PNR, go vote! and if you’re not… why not? (And no whining, now, that my books didn’t make the list: I don’t have enough romance in them for the purposes of this award, but there are some really great books on the list, so stop that.)

Just starting at the top with the folks I know or read: Jayne Castle/Amanda Quick, Jeri Smith-Ready, Michele Bardsley, Shanon Butcher, Anne Bishop, Richelle Mead, Patricia Briggs, Rachel Vincent, Yasmine Galenorn, Jaye Welles, Jim Butcher, Charlaine Harris, Ilona Andrews, Rachel Caine, Gail Carriger, Meljean Brook, Marjorie M. Liu (and some bunch of guys including Butcher, Green, Sniegoski, and me) and a lot of other terrific writers.

Best of luck to all!
