Lunch! And other adventures

As I’m sure you’ve noticed from the other TS blog postings, some of us descended on Downtown Seattle yesterday to lunch with YA author Carrie Ryan (she soon to be famous for The Forest of Hands and Teeth–remember that name!) Being cheap and much pestered by Mark Henry, we headed to Mae Phim–a super-cheap Thai place a few blocks away.

See the pics and details below the cut.

unafraid of food at the notorious Mae Phim
But little did we know those smirks would turn upon us later….

Here we are at our fruit-infested table.

(left to right: Carrie Ryan, Mark Henry, Caitlin Kittredge, Cherie Priest, and my empty chair.)

Carrie and Mark look sooooo cute!

And Caitlin demonstrates how camera-crazy we all are.

Unfortunately the Sweet ‘n’ Sour Veggie Tofu had its revenge on Cherie and Caitlin–and they were trying to be so good! But before the tummies started doing the mambo, the conversation was fantastic! I’m in instant love with Carrie–she’s very cool–and can’t wait for her book to come out in March. Zombies! Fundamentalists! Horror! Angst! YA! What more could you want?

you guys always look like you have sooo much fun!

  2. It’s all a sham! We’re really a horrible bunch of anxious depressives desperate for anything new and interesting to take our minds off impending deadlines.

Here’s the part where I hurry up and get my lazy butt published so I can hang out with you guys. Jeeze! Try not to have so much fun… you guys are entirely too happy 😉

  4. Adele says:

it’s a great way to sham tho. *grins*

  5. Sarah: we like aspiring writers too! (we all were, once.)
