About

kat, by Michael OttHi, there, gentle reader. My name is Kat Richardson. I’m a writer and freelance editor. My first novel, Greywalker–a paranormal detective/urban fantasy–was realeased by Roc in October 2006. It’s the first of the “Greywalker” series, which is currently slated for a total of six books with a possibility of more down the line. German, Russian, Romanian, and Polish translations of Greywalker are currently in the works and slated for publication soon. Traditional Chinese came out in Taiwan and Hong Kong in August 2007 and UK editions will begin appearing in December 2007–and, yeah, there’s some film/TV interest. I’m working on some short stories for anthologies and a couple of as-yet un-contracted novel length projects, too. You can find a lot more information on my main website: katrichardson.com.

Great series, Kat. I’m loving this character, and especially your writing. “The lawn was still playing dead.” Brilliant!

    Happy New Year

I don’t remember writing that phrase. Isn’t it funny how you can’t remember your own work, sometimes? But I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Thanks for the note!

i just wanted to write and say that i just finished underground and i loved it. i have read all three and i find the characters can really be gotten into. i love the interplay between harper and quinton and between harper and the danzigers. i can’t wait for the next one!
thank you for writting such a wonderful and entertaining book.

thank you! I’m so pleased you liked it and the rest. I’m revising #4 right now and I just approved cover copy for the mass market paperback version of UNDERGROUND, so things are moving ahead.
